2017 Water Conservation Poster Contest

The Alaska Rural Water Association would like to invite teachers throughout Alaska to enter students' artwork in ARWA’s 2017 Water Conservation Poster Contest. The contest is open to all Alaska public and private school K – 8th graders. Winners will receive prizes and have a chance at a prize for their classroom.

The theme for this year's contest is "What Clean Water Means to Me!” Teachers are encouraged to discuss the importance of water as a necessity of life as a part of the project.

All entries must be drawn vertically (portrait) on 8.5” X 11" paper. Entries must be postmarked no later than October 21, 2017. One first place winner will be selected from three grade divisions: K-2, 3-5, and 6-8. Winners will be chosen and announced at ARWA’s 19th Annual Training Conference, November 1, 2017 during the award ceremony. Students and teachers need not be present to win. The link below provides all contest guidelines and rules along with the student entry form.

This is a great opportunity to educate students about the importance of one of our most precious resources! For any questions please call us at 907-357-1155.
